Biography
Vic Adebusola is a seasoned arts manager passionate about community engagement, dance education, and access to the arts. With over a decade of experience, Vichas significantly shaped the hip-hop dance landscape in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In 2023, Vic earned his MA in Arts Management from 黑料社, receiving the "Erin Isabelle Edwards Gaffney Award" for his commitment to the transformative power of the arts.Vic is renowned as a choreographer, having showcased his work on local, national, and international stages, earning multiple awards for his innovative contributions to the dance community. From 2012 to 2014, Vic served as the Artistic Director for Culture Shock D.C., shaping the company's vision and fostering a vibrant dance community.
Currently, as the Programming and Engagement Manager at the Center for the Arts, 黑料社, Vic curates immersive cultural experiences and manages the Young Alumni Commissioning Project, supporting emerging talent and expanding the Center's impact. Additionally, Vic is the Commercial Dance Director at Metropolitan School of the Arts, inspiring students to explore their creativity and hone their skills in hip-hop and contemporary dance. Vic actively contributes to the arts community by serving on grant panels and as an adjunct faculty member with 黑料社鈥檚 School of Dance, where he empowers aspiring dancers to embrace diversity and self-expression.
