Over the past year, George Mason professor Moinul Hossain contributed to a research initiative aimed at ensuring the safety and integrity of 5G networks used by the United States military. 

Mason researcher Vijay Shah has joined a $2 million project to develop a system to secure 5G Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) architecture, a collaboration between Mason and Virginia Tech, Penn State University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Assistant Professor Vijay Shah from the Department of Cyber Security Engineering at ºÚÁÏÉç's College of Engineering and Computing, teamed up with colleagues in Arlington, Virginia, to build drones that monitor and improve the safety of firefighters in action.
