������ announced the first series of direct admissions partnerships with eight Northern Virginia high schools. The goal of the pilot is to directly reach students who are academically eligible to Mason but may be experiencing challenges in pursuing higher education.

Multiple national college rankings released in recent weeks have placed ������ among America’s top 50 public universities, top 100 among all public and private institutions, and Virginia’s No. 1 public university for social mobility.

������ President Gregory Washington congratulated the largest incoming class in Mason history for recognizing the many advantages of attending Mason, including undergraduate research opportunities, a diverse student body, and ready access to a dynamic job and internship market.

Mason's Board of Visitors last week approved the renaming of the School of Business to the Donald G. Costello College of Business to better reflect the unit’s size and stature. The business school was initially named in honor of Costello, a late Northern Virginia entrepreneur, in April, retaining the “school” designation.

Mason's Board of Visitors last week officially welcomed four new members, including two alumni and a member returning to the board after two decades. The board also elected new officers.

There were many outstanding performers at ������ this past academic year, from musicians to actors to athletes. Less celebrated but no less impressive was the virtuoso performance of a determined IT major at a job fair, a star turn that commanded the attention of University Career Services representatives.

������ has earned the American Talent Initiative (ATI) High-Flier distinction as one of 28 colleges or universities that provide “transformative leadership in college access and success for lower-income students, serving as a model for colleges and universities across the country.”

In congratulating the largest public university graduating class in state history, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Mason President Gregory Washington shared a message of renewal and growth at Mason’s Spring Commencement on Thursday, May 18.

������ will graduate its largest class in history this week, and perhaps its most traveled as well—the nearly 11,000 honorees hail from 111 countries, 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and military installations.
